I'm An Aunt...again! Welcome the Naffin Twins

So, who EVER said that your due date, or in the case your scheduled C-Section date was right, well they had another thing coming. Dave and Steph and I had just been discussing their need to be prepared for their babies arrival just that morning at Easter brunch when Steph's water began to break. She went to the hospital, apparently expecting to come straight home (false alarm or something). Nope. Instead they got an instant family.

She went in for an emergency C-section and about 10 minutes later (or less after she was wheeled into surgery and they began the procedure), Dave and her were parents! Since there was a C-section, Dave was the only one allowed in the room. My mom was standing right outside, with the phone outstretched (I was on the phone as Dave was working and I had Caiden I couldn't be there). It was beautiful. We heard both babies crying!

Lindsay was taken to the NICU (Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit) for observation. Kyle was able to sleep in the room with his parents, however he was also taken to the NICU later the next day. Steph and Dave get to visit them, but other than that they will stay in the NICU until all are ready to go home. Steph is doing fantastic!

Lindsay was tiny at 3lbs 14oz; while Kyle tipped the scales at 4lbs 8oz. Mommy and babies are doing well, and we hope that all will be able to go home soon!

Congratulations Dave and Steph!!!

That is awesome auntie Melissa.
Tell Stephanie and David I wish them luck.
They are so tiny but on a positive note Stephanie will get some extra rest before they can come home.
