So I KNOW that I have gained some weight. Geez, I just had a baby less than 3 months ago, but today I called to get life insurance quotes for Dave and I (part of my "being responsible: campaign) and they were going to charge QUITE A BIT more to insure me than to insure Dave.
Now I know that I am 2 years older than Dave, but he is heavier than me, but based on his height and weight (even after gaining weight alongside me WITHOUT having a baby) he is factored in their "excellent" health category, while I just got their 2nd best rating called "Above Average".
When the insurance specialist asked my height and weight I balked. I started out with "well, I am heavier than normal because I just had a baby". I gave her the figures and then she does her calculation and the FIRST thing she says to me is "Mrs. Bonney, we would be happy to reassess you at no charge after you lose the baby weight. Currently, a life insurance policy for you would be...".
Seriously!!!!! I said "It's THAT bad?"
She said "Well you are still in the above average health category, but based on your height and weight this is what your policy would be". Dave has gained more weight than I have and he still has it!!!! Of course, he can drop it whenever he wants, his body is made that way, but geezzz!!!!
She then said that they would be happy to send a nurse out to do a health check to my work so I can have minimal interference. Really? Yea, that's exactly what I want. Everyone at work knowing my humiliation as I step on the scale and WATCH the money I have to dish out of for life insurance go up with the pounds :(
So note to all of you. I am still searching for policies, and I guess I need to make a concerted effort to lose the weight now, or it will hit me in my pocketbook and not just my thighs and my ego. Until I find one, you can't off me...cuz you won't get anything :P

That sucks. Those charts are stupid anyway. I saw you a couple of weeks ago and you looked fantastic. Don't worry about it.
What about the life insurance through work? Would that be a better/cheaper option?
And Pam is right...you do look great. They just want to charge people more money for whatever reason they can.
