The Biggest Loser- Bonney Style!

Of course anyone who has ever met Dave and myself know that we are unusually competitive. I mean, I will race someone down a hall at work if given the opportunity, however I think I may have stuck my foot in my mouth this time.

Dave was at work today, and called me to ask me if I wanted to enter a competition with him - Biggest Loser style. Whomever reaches their goal weight first and maintains said goal weight for a period of 5 days or longer (to ensure that it is not water weight) will receive a prize of their choice.

In order to win Dave has to lose 17 lbs and I have to lose 10 lbs.

The worst part of this whole adventure is that I have to stand on a scale in front of him, and have my weight recorded.

Do you know what this means?
This means that that vat of frosting that I bought the other day will have to go uneaten.
This means that I have to eliminate the fast food, and say goodbye to my friends - the french fries.
This means that I actually have to find another outlet for me when I get upset, frustrated, bored or depressed.
This means work. :(

The good part is that if I win, I get a day at the spa...much needed if I do say so myself. Dave gets to play high stakes poker at the local casino.

Hmm...what did I get myself into? Tips, tactics and words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.

Finally I can leave comments again.
The contest sounds like alot of work to me. I have no helpful tips or hints but that's obvious since I have about 20 pounds to loose. I think that if you both reach your goals you should both win.

I think you already look great. But if I was to give advice, I highly recommend the book "You, on a diet". I haven't read too much of it, but Pam gave me the gist of the book and it seemed easy to lose weight. Good luck.
